摘要： A method for facilitating the alignment of first and second side panel portions of a pants-type diaper whilst feeding a pants-type diaper precursor in a machine direction through processing apparatus. The pants-type diaper precursor includes a leading edge region, a trailing edge region and first and second side edge regions, each of the first and second side edge regions having a first side panel portion at the leading edge region and a second side panel portion at the trailing edge region. The method includes applying elastic elements under tension to a flat continuous web having a predetermined width in the cross-machine direction, the web forming either the backsheet or the topsheet of the pants-type diaper. The elastic element in the trailing edge region is adapted to generate a greater gathering force than the elastic element in the leading edge region such that the first and second panels are better aligned when brought into overlapping relationship.

摘要： An absorbent article suitable for use as a diaper or adult incontinence garment includes an absorbent body disposed between a cover sheet, an inner sheet. Longitudinally extending folds disposed on the inner sheet inhibit the leakage of bodily exudates from the edges of the article. Elastic members extend along a portion of the length of the folds in the mid portion of the article. In the back portion of the article, elastic members connected to the inner sheet extend adjacent the edges of the absorbent body to enhance the fit of the garment. In the front portion of the article, elastic members may also be connected to the inner sheet and extend adjacent the edges of the absorbent body to enhance the fit of the garment.

At least one elastic member (21) is arranged in direct connection with the barrier layer (15), as a result of which the elastic member (21) cooperates with the elastic member (22, 23) arranged in contact with the absorption body (4) so as to form a constantly basin-shaped space (26) between the barrier layer (15) and the liquid-permeable cover layer (2).

摘要： A positively controlled ball valve for flowing fluids, in particular water, for instance for use in snow making machines. The valve includes a valve housing (1) having a flow passageway (3) for the water (7), a valve seat (9) arranged in the flow passageway (3), and a valve ball (10) which is movable towards and from the valve seat (9). A force actuation device (4) having a piston rod (20) positively acts on the valve ball (10), which is movable in a race (11) in the valve housing (1). The race extends from the valve seat (9) obliquely outwards-rearwards, upstream of the flow of water (7). The force actuation device (4) is formed with a piston rod (20) arranged for being able to force the valve ball (10) in the direction away from the valve seat (4) and into the race (11) for the ball. The piston rod (20) is arranged to act on the valve ball (10), in the first stage of the opening of the valve, so that the ball at least partly rolls out of the valve seat (9). The valve seat (9) is formed with a valve sealing (14) of an elastomeric material having a metal ring (16) engaging the inner surface and the rear end of the valve sealing (14).

摘要： An inner packaging for sterilized abdominal towels packed in an outer packaging includes an essentially rectangular sheet of material having pairs of mutually opposing first edges and mutually opposing second edges which are folded around a bundle of abdominal towels placed on the sheet such that a first part of the sheet which includes one of the first edges covers a substantial part of the abdominal towels, and a second part of the sheet which includes the second of the first edges covers part of the inwardly folded first part of the sheet, and such that those sections of each edge in the pair of second edges included in the first and the second inwardly folded sheet-parts lie substantially in line with remaining sections of the second edge concerned. The inner packaging is closed solely by two mutually opposing joints which extend substantially parallel with the second edges of the sheet and join together the end-parts of the inwardly folded sheet-parts and the opposing end-parts of that sheet-part which contains those sections of the second edges towards which the folded sections of the second edges are folded.
