摘要： A method and kit is provided for removing hair. The method includes applying to an area of skin from which hair is to be removed a skin pretreatment composition that includes a lipophilic material. Thereafter applied onto the pretreated area is a depilatory composition including a keratin degrading agent in an effective amount to chemically react with hair to allow wipe-away removal. A kit is also provided which includes a skin pretreatment product formed with a skin pretreatment composition including a lipophilic material delivered to the skin by a carrier. The kit further includes a depilatory product having a depilatory composition with a keratin degrading agent chemically reactive with hair to weaken the hair for removal, the depilatory composition being delivered from a carrier.

The composition has a viscosity from about 20,000 to about 500,000 centipoise. The combination of components achieves a product of good viscosity, pleasant skinfeel, rich lather and phase stability.

摘要： A system is described for providing a customized, personal care product to a consumer at a location, typically the point of sale, that is remote from a second location in which a personal care product base composition is prepared. A selection of performance agents of different classes with a common vehicle is made available to the consumer for custom formulation of a personal care product with the desired attributes. The system typically includes a product base, a fragrance part, and one or more performance agent parts that may contain benefit agents, botanical extracts, active ingredients for skin and hair, and the like. A blank vehicle is substituted if insufficient performance agents are selected.

摘要： A packaged cosmetic product is provided which includes multiple effervescent sachets placed within a tub with an open dispensing mouth. A carbon dioxide breathable and moisture barrier foil is arranged sealingly to close the dispensing mouth. Any carbon dioxide generated during storage, usually as a result of moisture prematurely effervescing powder within the sachets, is allowed to slowly diffuse into the atmosphere through the window formed by the special foil. The tub is formed of walls which do not have any substantial carbon dioxide breathability but do prevent inward moisture penetration.

The impregnated compositions include lathering surfactants and water, the compositions having a viscosity ranging from about 50 to about 300,000 centipoise. Amounts of water range from greater than 15% to no higher than about 40% by weight of the total article. Speed of lather formation and foam volume increases within the window of the stated viscosity and water range.

The colorant is insoluble in the carrier and the visual color is not imparted to the composition in its substantially dry state. Addition of water to the composition activates a color change which renders the visual color perceivable by a consumer. Color changes can be associated as a signal of performance by a consumer.
