    摘要: A system and method are described that are carried out by a mobility management component for providing enhanced short message service (SMS) memory handling in the absence of a user equipment (UE) signaling capability to indicate that an SMS memory is available after the UE issues a signal indicating an SMS memory unavailable error condition to the mobility management component. The method includes receiving the signal indicating an SMS memory unavailable error condition from the UE. In accordance with receiving the signal, an SMS memory error condition timer is set for the UE and issues an SMS memory failure message to temporarily cause suspension of sending SMS messages, via a short message service center (SMSC), to the UE. In response to expiration of a time period after the setting the SMS memory error condition timer, the mobility management component issues an SMS memory available message to resume SMS message delivery to the UE.

    摘要: A mobile wireless device conditionally disables device functionality when a driver is detected to be the user while in a moving vehicle. The device comprises sensors for sensing: motion, thermal images, and a vehicle cabin side. A processor is configured to perform a method including detecting whether the device is traveling within a moving vehicle; capture thermal image data points at multiple spatial locations; and render spatially binned thermal image data from the image data points. The processor is further configured to invoke a driver in possession mode of operation of the device in response to determining that: (1) the device performed the capturing while located in the front seat of the moving vehicle, by applying a front seat thermal image signature definition to the spatially binned thermal image data, and (2) the device is located on a driver side of the moving vehicle.

The method includes accessing a current permanent roaming policy applicable to the mobile wireless geographic region within which the UE device resides. The method further includes applying the current permanent roaming policy to establish a current preferred PLMN for supporting a roaming mobile wireless network connection by the UE device, and resetting a usage counter parameter for the UE device in accordance with designating the current preferred PLMN for the UE device. Thereafter, the permanent roaming coordinator component monitors, while the current preferred PLMN supports roaming mobile wireless communications for the UE device, a current status of the usage counter parameter for the UE device.

    摘要: A networked facilitator system is described that, in cooperation with a block chain on a network, carried out managing smart contracts associated with incentivized attention of a recipient sponsored by an application provider. The application provider submits a smart contract for incorporation into a block of the block chain, where the smart contract defines a compensated action performed by the recipient. The facilitator is configured to receive an incentivized attention definition corresponding to the smart contract and maps the received incentivized attention definition to an address of the recipient. Thereafter, the facilitator operates to interact with the recipient and the block chain smart contract to validate completion of required acts and invoke a consensus function to cause issuance of compensation to the recipient pursuant to the completed smart contract on the block chain.
