    摘要: According to an aspect of the present disclosure, a compound having a metal planar tetradentate coordination configuration is disclosed. In the compounds, the metal M is Pt or Pd; the four coordinating atoms are Z1, Z2, Z3, and Z4 and are each selected from N, C, and O. The compound includes a substituent R, and atoms M, Z1, Z2, Z3, and Z4 are used to define a first plane that passes through the metal M and is positioned to have a minimum sum of shortest distances with Z1, Z2, Z3, and Z4. At least one non-hydrogen atom in R falls within a distal circle of a cylinder extending perpendicular to the first plane, where the distal circle of the cylinder is a height h from the base circle and the height h ranges from 3.3 Å to 4.8 Å.

    摘要: Provided is an OLED having an emissive region having a first compound and a second compound where the first compound is capable of energy transfer to the second compound, and capable of functioning as a phosphorescent emitter in an OLED at room temperature. The second compound meets at least one of the following two conditions: (1) the second compound is capable of functioning as a TADF emitter in an OLED at room temperature, and (2) the second compound is capable of functioning as a fluorescent emitter in an OLED at room temperature. The second compound also includes at least one deuterium atom. Also provided is a formulation including the first compound and the second compound. Also disclosed is a premixed co-evaporation source that is a mixture of the first compound and the second compound.

    摘要: Devices and techniques are provided in which an OLED panel is operated in two modes. The first mode operates in a standard way to display an image or video or otherwise illuminate sub-pixels of the panel. In the second mode, some pixels are operated at a lower brightness than in the first mode. The use of multiple modes allows for improved sub-pixel lifetime and reduced sub-pixel and image degradation.
