Abstract: A compound having a first ligand LA of Formula I, is provided. In Formula I, each of moiety A and moiety B is a monocyclic ring or a polycyclic fused ring system; each of Z1 and Z2 is C or N; K is a direct bond or a linking group; R* includes a moiety selected from an electron-withdrawing group, heteroaryl, BRR′, SiRR′R″, GeRR′R″, OR, SR, SeR, PRR′, PRR′R″, AsRR′, AsRR′R″, or a combination thereof; each R, R′, R″, R*, Rα, Rβ, RA, and RB is a hydrogen or a General Substituent defined herein; LA is coordinated to a metal M having an atomic mass of at least 40; and any two substituents may be joined or fused to form a ring.
