    摘要: A power plant includes a prime mover for burning fuel and producing work and hot exhaust gases, and heat exchanger apparatus that is responsive to the hot exhaust gases and to pre-heated steam condensate for converting the latter into high-pressure steam and for producing heat depleted exhaust gases. A combustor, preferably, a fluidized bed combustor, is responsive to burning fuel for supplying additional heat to a product of the heat exchanger apparatus, and producing combustion products. The combustion products are supplied to a superheater for producing superheated, high pressure steam from the high pressure steam supplied from the heat exchange apparatus. A high pressure steam turbine expands the superheated, high pressure steam and produces power and exhaust steam that is condensed to steam condensate in a condenser. Finally, the power plant includes an economizer that is responsive to the heat-depleted combustion products and to the steam condensate for producing the pre-heated condensate used by the heat exchange apparatus.

    摘要: An apparatus for producing power from a geothermal fluid that is a mixture of high pressure steam and brine comprising a separator, a steam turbine coupled to a generator, a steam condenser, the vaporized organic fluid is supplied to a superheater, an organic vapor turbine coupled to a generator, an organic vapor condenser. The apparatus further comprises a preheater which preheats the organic condensate and produces a stream of pre-heated organic fluid that is supplied to the steam condenser as well as a stream of cooled steam condensate. A recuperator is provided for transferring heat from the heat depleted organic fluid produced by the organic vapor turbine to organic condensate produced by the organic vapor condenser. The heated organic condensate produced by the recuperator is supplied to the preheater while cooled, heat depleted organic vapor produced by the recuperator is supplied to the organic vapor condenser. The stream of cooled brine is combined with the stream of cooled steam condensate to form a combined stream of diluted cooled brine that is less susceptible to precipitation of minerals.

    摘要: Apparatus for utilizing geothermal fluid comprising a two-phase mixture of geothermal steam and brine produced by a production well, includes an input conduit connecting the production well with the separator which separates the geothermal fluid into high pressure geothermal steam and geothermal brine. A connecting conduit connects the separator to a geothermal power plant which produces power from the high pressure geothermal steam. The input conduit is shorter than said connecting conduit to reduce pressure losses due to two-phase flow in the input conduit. The geothermal power plant includes a topping steam turbine coupled to a generator, and a flow control mechanism for applying the high pressure geothermal steam to the topping steam turbine which is constructed and arranged to drive the generator and produce exhaust steam at a pressure greater than atmospheric pressure. A secondary separator receives the exhaust steam and produces condensate and dry low pressure steam which is applied to a condensing steam turbine coupled to a generator for producing power and exhaust steam that is below atmospheric pressure. The flow control system is effective to maintain a substantially constant flow rate of geothermal steam through he power plant in the face of decreasing pressure of the geothermal fluid.
