摘要： A mobile terminal selects a transmission rate for the reverse common signaling channel in response to at least one mobile-terminal-measured metric that is associated with the RF conditions of the channel. The mobile terminal is provided with information, where the information takes the form of at least one threshold level that the one or more measured metrics are compared with, to determine the rate at which at which the mobile terminal should transmit.

The method monitors the data traffic and anticipates when the assigned data rate is inadequate to support the data traffic resulting in a loss of data or when the assigned data rate is more than necessary to support the data traffic and results in inefficient usage of system resources.

摘要： The present invention provides a method for handling potentially corrupted frames. The method includes receiving a frame having a first sequence number, determining, based on the first sequence number, whether the frame is potentially corrupted, and determining a number of received potentially corrupted frames in response to determining that the frame is potentially corrupted. The method also includes determining whether to drop the potentially corrupted frame based on the number of received potentially corrupted frames.
