    Abstract: Method for manufacturing a cup from a conical sleeve and a pot-shaped base. The base has a base face and a circumferential wall starting from the base face and inserted from a large opening in the conical sleeve into the sleeve in the direction of a small opening in the sleeve. The method includes: partially covering a radially outer circumferential face of the wall of the pot-shaped base with an annular covering sleeve, positioning the covering sleeve together with the base in the direction of the small opening in the sleeve until the predefined relative position between the sleeve and the base is reached, pulling out the covering sleeve between an inner side of the sleeve and the radially outer circumferential face of the base, the base remaining in the predefined relative position, and connecting the radially outer circumferential face of the base and the inner side of the sleeve in an essentially fluid-tight manner.

    Abstract: An apparatus for manufacturing a sleeve for a paper cup and/or a paper cup comprises a machine frame and at least two star wheels, which are rotatably connected with the machine frame and which can be rotated in synchronized cycles. A first star wheel comprises a number of conical mandrels, on each of which one sleeve made of a flat-lying blank can be formed. The star wheels are positioned in one plane and are arranged to a vertical wall of the machine frame with horizontal rotary axes. The star wheels can be connected to at least one drive, whereby the drive is arranged on the side of the machine frame wall facing away from the star wheels.

    Abstract: A double-walled cup and a process for production of the cup are described. The cup includes an inner cup and a tube-shaped outer sleeve, which is formed from a blank of paper material joined at its ends. The tube-shaped outer sleeve is slid axially onto a prefabricated inner sleeve and secured. The tube-shaped outer sleeve is formed from a flat blank by joining the ends of the blank before being slid on, whereby the ends of the blank are joined by an adhesive applied to a limited area of the outer sleeve. The ends of the blank are joined by a thermoplastic material in the form of an adhesive, which for example can be a hot-melt adhesive or a sealing varnish.

    Abstract: A cup made of paper material having a fillable interior is provided. The cup is formed by a conical sleeve and a bottom. The bottom is attached to the sleeve at the lower end of the interior with a bottom skirt in an essentially liquid-tight way.
