Abstract:
A method of producing a building panel, including: providing a core, applying a balancing layer having a first moisture content on a first surface of the core, the balancing layer comprising a sheet impregnated with a thermosetting binder, applying a surface layer having a second moisture content on a second surface of the core, the surface layer comprising a thermosetting binder, adjusting the first moisture content of the balancing layer such that the first moisture content of the balancing layer is higher than the second moisture content of the surface layer prior to curing, and curing the surface layer and the balancing layer by applying heat and pressure. Also, a semi-finished product adapted to be cured for forming a building panel.
Abstract:
A method of manufacturing a separate and continuous layer being essentially uncured. The method includes applying a powder mix including fibres and a thermosetting binder on a carrier, forming a powder mix layer, wherein the powder mix is connected together such that the powder mix layer is obtained and wherein the powder mix layer is essentially uncured, and releasing the powder mix layer from the carrier. Also, a layer and a method for manufacturing a building panel.
Abstract:
A set of essentially identical floorboards each including a front face and a rear face extending in the horizontal plane, a core, and a surface layer, a mechanical locking system is arranged at least at two opposite edges for connecting a floorboard with an adjacent floorboard in a horizontal and a vertical direction, said mechanical locking system being configured for connecting the floorboard with the adjacent floorboard by vertical folding, wherein one of said opposite edges is provided with a horizontally extending protrusion at an upper edge, and wherein said protrusion is configured to overlap a surface groove at an upper edge of the other of said opposite edges, such that two connected and adjacent floorboards have upper overlapping edges.
Abstract:
A tool configuration 68, 68′ incorporating a preprocessing step 67, 67′ and a method incorporating the tool configuration with its preprocessing step, producing an improved locking system of a floor panel 1, 1′. With the special tool configuration, and the preprocessing step changing the properties of the surface layer, certain surfaces are profiled of the joint edge of the floor panel, resulting in decreased tolerances. An equipment having an upper belt or chain guided in a horizontal direction, by an upper guiding device, and configured to press the floor panel vertically towards the lower chain, decreasing the tolerances of the produced floor panel as well.
