Abstract:
An automatic telephone answering apparatus has a circuit for generating repeated signals of a specific duty factor in response to the arrival of a call signal and a circuit operating when it has received a predetermined number of the output repeated signals of the first circuits to cause answering means to begin transmitting an answering message, the apparatus thus starting answering operation always after elapse of a predetermined time from the instant of arrival of the call signal irrespective of the kind of the duty factor of the call signal. Furthermore, the apparatus is so adapted that the answering operation is not started when the receiver of the telephone set of the called party is lifted off its cradle before the above mentioned specific number of repeated signals are received.
Abstract:
A remote control system and apparatus for an automatic telephone answering and recording apparatus comprises: answering means operating with respect to incoming calls in the absence of the called party to close automatically a speaking circuit and transmit to the caller in each case a statement recorded beforehand; recording means for recording messages stated by callers; signal generating means operated by the manipulative pushing of the push buttons of a touch-tone telephone set or the operation of a specific signal generator to generate, as control signals, tone signals corresponding to the numerals from zero to nine of the push buttons; selection detection means operated by coincidence between a combined numeral group on the apparatus side previously set by combining numerals selected at will from the numerals from zero to nine and the combination of control signals successively generated by and transmitted from the signal generating means and operated when an individual control signal corresponds to any numeral of the combined numeral group; and control means for controlling the apparatus with respect to recording, playing back, rewinding, and other operations in accordance with the operation of the selection detection means.
Abstract:
An automatic telephone answering apparatus coupled to a telephone set for cooperative operation therewith comprises a device operating upon receiving a call when the called person is absent to send an answering message prerecorded on an answering tape to the caller and then recording any incoming message from the caller, a line connecting circuit operating in response to a call signal to connect the apparatus to the telephone line, and a circuit for holding the line connecting circuit in its operative state with respect to the above mentioned call until the answering tape returns to a predetermined starting position at which the answering message starts.
Abstract:
A remote control system and apparatus for an automatic telephone answering and recording apparatus comprises: means operating to render the answering and recording apparatus into a remotely operable state only in the case where signals corresponding to numerals of any number of digits previously set on the apparatus side are applied thereto from a remote point, through a telephone line, in the specific sequence, and at intervals within a specific period; mode control means for placing the appartus in a state for an operational mode according to the signals of the digits when, after the operation of the first named means, the digit signals are applied singly; and means for changing the apparatus to the mode corresponding to a specific mode control signal from the mode control means and to a stop signal recording mode in accordance with whether the output duration time of the mode control signal is shorter or longer than a predetermined time period.
