Abstract:
A digital rotation or stepping motor contains oil of suitable viscosity which fills the space between a rotor and a stator. The motor is digitally and intermittently stepped in response to input pulses. The viscosity of the oil is selected to prevent a hunting which might otherwise be produced when the rotor stops its intermittent rotation.
Abstract:
A magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus in which a cue signal or other detection pulse signal is recorded on a magnetic tape. The cue signal marks a timing point for editing signals recorded on the magnetic tape, while the movement of the magnetic tape is temporarily stopped. A recorded detection pulse signal is reproduced at a relative speed, with respect to the tape speed, in editing the signals while the magnetic tape is moving. Thus, the editing point can be detected positively and easily.
Abstract:
A magnetic head assembly comprises at least one resilient filmlike member held in tension over a drum-shaped support. A magnetic head holder and at least one head core are provided on an upper resilient member. The head core can follow the variation of contact caused by an uneveness of the magnetic surface of a magnetic medium.
Abstract:
A magnetic tape tension control system is shown for magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus of the so-called double capstan type in which a magnetic tape is moved by two capstans driven by a single motor through belts. The control system keeps a constant tension on the portion of the magnetic tape which is between the two capstans irrespective of the direction in which the tape is moved. This is done by varying the tension of the tape on the takeup reel side or supply reel side depending on whether the tape is moved in a normal direction or a reverse direction.
Abstract:
The system compensates for an absence of a reproduced signal in one channel with a portion of a reproduced signal in another channel. The compensating signal contains its information which is interrelated with that of the signal absence portion. The compensation is performed by a switching pulse having its width corresponding to an interval of the signal absence portion.
Abstract:
A magnetic tape movement-initiation system which causes two magnetic tape drive means to operate such that one means is actuated with a time lag with respect to the other means. Said two magnetic tape drive means are mounted in the path of travel of a magnetic tape paid out from a supply reel and wound on a takeup reel such that one means is disposed on the supply reel side and the other means is disposed on the takeup reel side with respect to magnetic heads which are brought into contact with the magnetic tape.
