    Abstract: The invention provides an exhaust gas treatment system (8) arranged to receive exhaust gases from an internal combustion engine (6), the system comprising an exhaust conduit (10) and a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) catalyst (12) provided in the exhaust conduit (10), characterized in that the system comprises a nitrogen dioxide reducing unit (701) provided in the exhaust conduit (10) upstream of the SCR catalyst (12), wherein the nitrogen dioxide reducing unit (701) is adapted to reduce, at a low temperature, nitrogen dioxide (NO2) in exhaust gases received by the nitrogen dioxide reducing unit (701).

    Abstract: The invention relates to a method for controlling the temperature of an NOx controlling component in an exhaust after treatment system of an internal combustion engine. The NOx controlling component has inner surface portions defining an interior component space through which exhaust gases are arranged to flow in order to be NOx controlled, and has outer surface portions facing away from the interior component space. The method comprises the step of: controlling the temperature of at least a portion of the NOx controlling component by a heat transfer medium arranged outside of the outer surface portions. The invention also relates to an exhaust after treatment system and a vehicle with such a system.

    Abstract: A method is disclosed for cleaning a component of an exhaust aftertreatment system located downstream of a combustion engine in an exhaust flow path delimited by an outer wall. The exhaust aftertreatment system includes a first device releasably mounted in the outer wall upstream of the component and a second device releasably mounted in the outer wall downstream of the component, each of the devices being a sensor or an injector. The method includes sealing the exhaust flow path upstream of the first device and downstream of the second device, removing at least the first and second devices, thereby providing at least two openings in the outer wall, so that a cleaning flow path is provided, and introducing cleaning fluid into at least one of the openings, so that the cleaning fluid flows across the component via the cleaning flow path.
