Abstract:
A gear rack arrangement for the track of an overhead conveyor system in which the movement of the transport unit is undertaken through the agency of a gear rack and pinion drive. The drive pinion of the transport unit meshes with the gear rack arranged at the track. According to an important aspect of the invention, the teeth of the gear rack are designed such that their thickness radially reduces inwardly and outwardly at the track curves, the plane of which is situated parallel to the plane of the gear rack.
Abstract:
An apparatus for the pivotable mounting of a load container at a travelling carriage or similar mechanism of overhead conveyors or the like such that the load container always is suspended vertically or perpendicularly independent of the position of the travelling carriage. The inventive apparatus embodies two support holders arranged at the load container and two swivel or hinge joint devices arranged at the suspension mechanism of the travelling carriage. Each swivel or hinge joint mechanism embodies at least two components which are rotatable relative to one another, wherein one component is fixed with the suspension mechanism of the traveling carriage and the other free component is at least partially enclosed by the associated support holder. These components of each swivel joint mechanism and the associated support holder are constructed in such a way that the suspended load container is centered with respect to the suspension mechanism in two directions which are approximately perpendicular to one another.
Abstract:
A transportation installation incorporating a horizontal and/or vertical and/or inclined extending track rail equipped with at least one rail member, along which there can travel a number of transportation or conveying units having a drive means and devices for receiving loads. The track rail possesses branching points equipped with switch or routing means. The switch or routing means incorporates a movable portion embodying linear and/or curved connection rail pieces for the track rail which, with respect to their position and their rail surfaces as well as also their planes perpendicular to such rail surfaces and containing the rail axes deviate from one another.
