A device may obtain receipt data associated with a purchase of an item. The device may generate information for generating a virtual receipt based on the receipt data. The device may determine a user device associated with the receipt data. The device may send a text message, that includes the information for generating the virtual receipt, to the user device. The virtual receipt may be generated by the user device based on the information for generating the virtual receipt.

A messaging device receives configuration information from a configuration device. The messaging device identifies application configuration information, associated with a first user device, based on the configuration information and sends the application configuration information to the first user device for configuring a messaging application on the first user device. The messaging device receives an incoming message, including message information, from the messaging application on the first user device. The messaging device identifies, based on the message information and the configuration information, a second user device and a message format associated with the second user device. The messaging device sends, in the message format associated with the second user device, an outgoing message, based on the message information and the configuration information, to the second user device.

A first mobile device may receive, via a text messaging application, first location information from a second mobile device. The first location information may indicate a first geographic location of the second mobile device. The first mobile device may receive, via the text messaging application, second location information from the second mobile device. The second location information may indicate a second geographic location of the second mobile device. The first mobile device may generate, based on the first location information and the second location information, a graphical representation. The graphical representation may represent a movement of the second mobile device from the first geographic location to the second geographic location. The first mobile device may provide the graphical representation for display via a display associated with the first mobile device.

A user may use text messages to interact with web content (e.g., to select hyperlinks, request information, provide information, etc.). A content server may process the text messages, sent by the user, in order to determine web content to provide to the user. The text messages may be authenticated by a message relay server, thereby eliminating the need for the content server to request authentication or identification information from the user.
