Abstract:
The current invention involves a universal fishing bait fundamentally comprised of a matrix of fibrous collagen made up into any shape or design capable of attracting fish, that is 100% biodegradable and innocuous, that has physico-chemical properties that confer it with the capacity to accommodate liberate and diffuse attractant substances, and whose physico-mechanical properties confer it a soft and flexible texture, as well as making it resistant to breakage. Likewise, the invention outlines a procedure to prepare such a bait, and a precursor paste employed in the preparation, as well as the use of fibrous collagen in the preparation of said universal fishing bait.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to biodegradable protein based thermoset compositions formulated from a powder of a dry and finely ground protein material, from which the water has been thoroughly removed, an anhydrous and liquid alcohol and other optional additives. The inventions also relates to the method for obtaining these compositions in which the components are homogeneously mixed, under controlled conditions of temperature and moisture, to obtain a homogenous and shelf-cohesive mass, that can be shaped in any predetermined form by diverse molding methods, being readily set through the application of a certain amount of heat during a short period of time, which enables it to turn into a solid shaped body or article through a very simple process.
Abstract:
The current invention involves a universal fishing bait fundamentally comprised of a cord body of filaments or strips of fibrous collagen made up into any shape or design capable of attracting fish, that is 100% biodegradable and that furthermore has a good capacity to diffuse and liberate attractant substances. The bait invented presents excellent mechanical properties in terms of resistance to breakage and resistance to tearing, is easily manipulated, transported and stored. Similarly, the invention provides for the use of fibrous collagen in the preparation of said universal fishing bait.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to non-edible collagen casings for food products which do not have to be soaked in water or brine just before stuffing (ready-to-stuff casings), and the method for preparing them. More specifically, the invention refers to a preparation of a stabilized longlife non-edible collagen casing ready-to-stuff comprising a moisture amount between 27% and 50% by weight based on total casing weight and a salt amount between 2,5% and 30% by weight based on dry casing weight, wherein the salt comprises a salt from an organic acid and wherein the casing is packed.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a composition for shirring artificial casings which allows conferring the casing with a high capacity to cling to the meat paste stuffed therein. The composition of the invention comprises at least one heat curable polycationic resinous component, a polyolic component and water, wherein the water activity (aw) index has a value greater than or equal to 0.70. A casing impregnated by said composition, the meat product stuffed in said casing and the method for impregnating the casing with the composition of the invention is also contemplated.
