摘要: A continuously running application may be dynamically recovered. A database replica server may be directed to temporarily spool data changes in a database master server that stores application data associated with an application running on a web front-end master server. A specified rewind point may be obtained from among a plurality of existing rewind points of the application data stored in the database replica server. The database replica server may be directed to rewind the application data to a specified rewind point. An indication of data to be recovered in the rewound application data may be obtained. The web front-end master server may be directed to restore the data corresponding to the indication. The database replica server may be directed to resume replication of data changes in the database master server.

摘要: A technique for interconnecting photonic circuits employing a fixed field of optical couplers situated between adjacent layers of photonic circuits. The coupler field facilitates the direct connection of optical fibers linked to components in one of the adjacent layers of photonic circuits with optical fibers linked to components in another adjacent layer. Each optical coupler within the field is a standard, commercially available optical fiber coupler which mates the optical fibers via a single low-loss connection. In addition, as each of these connectors allows easy connection/disconnection of optical fibers, reconfiguring previous interlayer connections is simplified. In a particular embodiment, the coupler field includes a plurality of individual couplers arranged in a regular geometric pattern upon a panel oriented at a 45.degree. angle with respect to the circuit packs of the adjacent layers. This provides easy access to the couplers, and allows for uncomplicated indexing of each connection.

摘要: The present invention refers to an improvement in a bed mattress containing signal means for the identification of the correct mattress position for any day of the year, making it viable for the implementation of a rotation program designed for increasing the useful life of this product. The improved mattress contains signal means for indicating which one of the four possible mattress positions is the correct one at the date of inspection. For example, in a monthly rotation program, if the current month is not indicated on the mattress in a directly readable form, the mattress should have its position altered, until the correct month is directly readable on the mattress. In this manner, the four positions of the mattress are uniformly used, expanding significantly the useful life of the mattress, in comparison with another that is not rotated, that is rotated sporadically or that is rotated in a random fashion.
