    摘要： A swimmer's starting platform assembly and method includes a cylindrical anchor/post mating system having a keyed angular positioning device. Preferably, a starting platform has a cylindrical support post sized for mating engagement within a cylindrical bore of an anchor. The cylindrical support post has a mating key element configured to mate with an anchor key element when the cylindrical support post is inserted into the cylindrical bore to maintain a fixed angular orientation between the cylindrical support post and the cylindrical bore so that the starting platform is fixed with a desired orientation relative to the anchor.

    摘要： A lift is provided to facilitate access to swimming pools and spas. The lift includes a base and a mast extending therefrom. An arm pivotally connects to the mast. A seat assembly connects to the arm. An overhead support is positioned above the seat assembly. A first actuator moves the arm about the mast, thereby moving the seat assembly between raised and lowered positions, to bring the seat assembly out of and into a pool. A second actuator rotates the seat assembly relative to the base to position the seat assembly over the pool or deck. In use, the lift attaches to a pool deck, adjacent the pool, and a user accesses the seat assembly from the deck. The second actuator rotates about the base to position the user over the water. The first actuator lowers the seat assembly, and the user exits the seat assembly into the water.

    摘要： A system and method for securing an insulated concrete wall form to an existing support/bracing structure such as a strongback for keeping the form straight and plumb during construction. The attachment system uses a flexible member, such as a tensioning plastic strap, to hold the strongback against insulated panels of the insulated concrete wall form. Openings are cut through the insulated panels to provide a pathway for the strap. A horizontal anchoring bar is positioned in the insulated concrete wall form to secure the strap. The strap is threaded through one of the openings, wrapped around the anchoring bar and then threaded out through the other opening. The strap is wrapped around a strongback and the ends of the strap are secured using a crimp connector. A wedge may also be inserted between the strongback and the strap and pressed downwardly to adjust the tension of the strap and align the insulated concrete wall form against the strongback.

    摘要： A multi-tone sounder system including the sounder and a method of controlling the sounder in which at least a pair of chime bars (3, 5), bells or gongs are spaced apart and arranged to be struck by a solenoid operated striker (26) positioned between the chime bars; the solenoid (24) is powered by a controller (FIG. 2) in one of several ways so that in one way by sudden application of power to the solenoid the striker strikes one bar but then the power is reduced gradually preventing the striker by means of a spring (28) hitting the other bar; in a second way by gradual application of power to the solenoid and sudden reduction the other bar only is struck; in a third way by sudden application and a sudden reduction of power to the solenoid both bars may be struck; by using a predetermined combination of strikes a particular push button in a house can easily be identified.

The computing device downloads configuration information for a location and receives input from an installer at the location. The set top box includes a remote control interface that receives commands from the remote control device, a local communications channel that transmits data to the computing device, an emulator that emulates the receipt of the commands by injecting remote control keypresses into the remote control interface to issue the commands, and a diagnostic feature activatable over the local communications channel by the computing device after the computing device receives the input to perform verification tests and to return results of the verification tests to the computing device to confirm to the installer that the set top box has been installed correctly.
