摘要： In an arrangement of two keyboards or other lamellar input/output devices for a computer or telecommunications terminal, one keyboard is integral with a cabinet of the terminal and the other keyboard normally fits within a housing in an undersurface of the cabinet and is masked by the integral keyboard. To enable withdrawal of the keyboard housed within the housing for use, a rear part of the cabinet undersurface is configured to allow the cabinet to be tilted bodily backwards to allow access to the keyboard. This is then pulled from under the integral keyboard and the cabinet is returned to its stable position. The keyboard housed within the housing is returned to its stored position in a converse manner.

摘要： A circuit pattern on a circuit board, as used in telecommunications systems and other electrical apparatus, often has contact positions for switches, such as pushbutton switches, and for other purposes. The normal copper circuit pattern is covered at the contact positions to give improved contact conditions. Carbon ink has been proposed by obtaining the necessary high level of alignment of carbon ink with the copper pattern at contact positions is difficult as such contact positions have very close members. The invention proposes contact positions having closely spaced inter-digital contact members, in which the circuit pattern extends to and stops at the peripheral region of a contact position, the contact members being of carbon ink and overlapping conductors of the circuit pattern at the peripheral region.

摘要： A gate valve particularly for controlling the flow of chemicals and corrosives includes a knife edge gate and means to assure parallelism between the gate and a stainless steel gate seat in the valve casing. A bonnet on the top of the casing has guides for the gate and allows full withdrawal of the gate from the flow line without the necessity for the gate passing through the gate stem packing.
