Abstract: An electrical coupler unit includes a plurality of wafers which are stacked so that open slots of each of the wafers form contactor-receiving cells with associated portions of flat surfaces of adjacent wafers. A plurality of contactors are inserted into and locked within the cells formed by the stacked wafers and are formed with pockets for supporting the ends of associated conductors which are soldered thereto. Mating coupler units are assembled within supporting bands to facilitate the connecting of mating contactors of the units to form an electrical coupler.
