    摘要: Each evaporator tube in a waste heat boiler has a flow restrictor disposed in the inlet thereof, the flow restrictor has a small diameter inlet end which converges into a smaller diameter restricting portion which discharges into the lower end of an outlet portion which is generally the same diameter as the tube, and the inlet and restricting portions are eccentrically disposed with respect to the outlet portion to provide trapless draining of the evaporator tubes.

    摘要: Apparatus for separating entrained liquids from a traveling stream of gas or vapor wherein the gas travels through sinuous paths formed by generally vertical vanes of zig-zag crosssectional configuration arranged in side-by-side relationship and provided with vertically extending channels which collect water droplets impinged upon the surfaces of the vanes as the gas travels therethrough. The invention is characterized in that each vane, including the collecting channel therefor, is fabricated from a single sheet of metal formed as by stamping, bending or roll forming into the desired cross-sectional configuration. This reduces the cost of the product and eliminates tolerance problems encountered when an attempt is made to obtain the desired crosssectional configuration by welding.

    摘要: A vertical steam drum having two moisture separation stages, which cooperate to remove the majority of the water from moisture laden steam, is utilized in a heat recovery system, in which heat from the exhaust of a gas turbine produces superheated steam to operate a steam turbine. The first separation stage comprises a plurality of swirl vanes, which direct the moisture laden steam upwardly to form a swirling vortex of steam adjacent an orifice plate, a sleeve extending downwardly from the orifice plate, and tangential ducts disposed adjacent the upper end of the sleeve for discharging water from the swirling vortex of moisture laden steam. A chevron type separator disposed above the first separator forms the second separation stage to provide essentially moisture free steam to a superheater disposed in an exhaust duct of the gas turbine.
