Abstract: A vent structure for venting an air space around the cavity of a self-cleaning oven in which food is cooked with the vent structure including a movable damper movable between a relatively closed first position for restricting air flow through the air space during the cooking and an open second position to facilitate flow of cooling air through the space during the high temperature self-cleaning burn off of the food soil deposits.
