摘要： An onscreen function execution method for a mobile terminal having a touchscreen is provided. The method allows for executing functions of an activated application by a tap on a specific area of the touchscreen. An onscreen function execution method of the present invention includes mapping active regions of the touchscreen to functions of at least one application, displaying an application screen in response to an application activation command and executing, if a tap is detected on one of the active regions, a function mapped to the application activation command. The active regions may include a function execution display region and the applications may comprise a camera application, a music player application, an idle mode screen application and the like. The method allows a user to execute functions of an activated application by tap on the touchscreen.

摘要： A method and a terminal for playing and displaying music are provided. The method includes selecting a desired track in a playback mode, playing the selected track, displaying information about the selected track and a playing progress bar and displaying a current play time for the selected track and a position corresponding to the current play time on the playing progress bar in order to update playing progress information. The method and terminal enable a user to adjust the playback and selection of tracks through a novel interface, thereby providing increased convenience for a user of a terminal equipped with a music player.

摘要： A device and method for displaying a list in a portable terminal having a touch pad are provided. The portable terminal includes an input unit for generating a sweep event; a speed-determining unit for checking speed of the sweep event and setting a scroll speed corresponding to the speed of the sweep event; a controller for controlling scrolling through items on a list according to the scroll speed; and a display for displaying the scrolled items on the list under the control of the controller. Therefore, the list scroll can be easily performed according to the inputted sweep event.

The apparatus and method allow for intuitively executing various functions by manipulating function widgets arranged on an idle mode screen. The onscreen function execution method of the present invention includes displaying an idle mode screen having a widget box containing at least one widget icon, arranging at least one widget by moving the at least one widget icon representing the at least one widget out of the widget box and positioning the at least one widget icon at a position on the idle mode screen and enabling, if a widget selection command is detected on the at least one widget, the at least one widget. The execution method enables a user to customize an idle mode screen with functional objects.
