    摘要: An exemplary system for loading a pre-curved electrode array onto a straightening member includes a loading tool and a straightening member. An exemplary loading tool may include a body and first and second flexible arms each having a fixed end connected to the body and a free end opposite the fixed end. The first and second flexible arms may define a straightening channel configured to constrain a pre-curved electrode array in a straightened configuration. The first and second flexible arms may be further configured to flex away from each other to receive the pre-curved electrode array into the straightening channel. The straightening member is configured to be inserted into the pre-curved electrode array while the pre-curved electrode array is in the straightened configuration and retain the pre-curved electrode array in the straightened configuration after the pre-curved electrode array is removed from the loading tool. Corresponding methods are also described.

    摘要: A process for recovering iron from an iron oxide bearing mass. The process includes forming a bed of lump coke in a vertical shaft furnace, feeding the iron oxide bearing mass and scrap metal onto the bed of lump coke and combusting the coke in the coke bed while injecting a plasma gas having a temperature greater than about 5,000.degree. F. into the coke bed to form a reaction zone within the coke bed having a temperature in excess of 4,000.degree. F. The iron oxide bearing mass and scrap metal fed onto the bed of lump coke is melted to form a molten phase containing molten iron oxide and molten scrap metal. The molten phase flows into the reaction zone and a film is formed on the lump coke within the reaction zone, the iron oxide in the film being reduced by carbon from the coke to form molten iron in a solid/liquid reduction. The molten iron is discharged from the furnace.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for entrenching an elongated pipeline and the like uses a trenching apparatus having a trench cutting assembly which is detachably connected to a sled base. A floating vessel has means to control positioning of the trenching apparatus, including means to raise and lower, and to connect and disconnect, the trench cutting assembly and the sled base. Several methods and apparatus are disclosed for raising and lowering the trench cutting assembly while leaving the sled base positioned on the bottom of the body of water, straddling the elongated pipeline. In each embodiment, the cutting means may be lifted on board the vessel for maintenance and/or repair, leaving the sled base in position relative to the pipeline. Means are provided for abandoning the sled base at the entrenching site and returning later to lower the trench cutting assembly into its operational relationship with the sled base.

    摘要: An invalid bed arrangement with bed pan facility including a bed frame. Also included is a seat assembly for allowing a user to be selectively uprighted.     摘要: An oscillating or timing valve, sometimes known as an air relay, suitable for use with a chemical injector. A valve housing with sliding poppet, sliding piston and adjustable needle, with the poppet movable in one direction to close an exhaust port and with the piston movable in the opposite direction to engage the poppet and close the outlet or drive port and open the exhaust port. The piston oscillates between the drive port open and the drive port closed conditions, with the timing adjusted by varying the needle orifice and the size of the chamber fed through the needle orifice. The oscillating valve does not utilize any diaphragms or springs.
