摘要: A tape cassette storage case includes: a case body provided with a bottom plate having a rectangular shape and a side wall along a periphery of the bottom plate so that the tape cassette can be encased therein; a lid portion having a connecting portion connected to one side of the case body with a hinge so that the lid portion covers an opening side enclosed by the side wall; and a bumper portion provided at a periphery of the case body and the lid portion including an opposite side of the connecting portion so that the bumper portion projects to an outside from the side wall when the lid portion is a closed position, wherein the bumper portion has thick-walled portions at each corner of the bumper portion, the thick-walled portions being formed thicker than any other portions of the bumper portion.

On a bottom plate of the reel hub, there are formed: marks of gates that are disposed on a radial direction inner side with respect to the reinforcement ring and are used for injecting, into a die, a resin material that molds the reel hub; and at least one of thick portions that are positioned on the reinforcement ring side with respect to the marks of the gates and thin portions that are positioned on both sides, in a circumferential direction of the reel hub, with respect to the marks of the gates.

摘要: Retention portions that retain a leader member of recording tape are formed inside a case, and a spring member pushes the leader member toward the retention portions. The spring member contacts support point members, and the support point members serve as support points when the spring member deforms. The support point members, which are disposed such that they protrude from side walls of the case, include a height D1 from an inner surface (attachment reference surface) of the side walls. The spring member is bent such that its height at positions contacting the support point members from the attachment reference surface includes a height D2 in a state where the spring member is not attached to the case. Here, D2≦D1. When the spring member is attached to the case, the spring member always contacts the support point members. Thus, the pushing force of the spring member is stable.

摘要: At a reel, an outer peripheral surface of a cylindrical tube portion of a reel hub is a tape winding surface around which a magnetic tape is wound. In a free state, the tape winding surface forms a substantial taper shape in which an outer diameter is greater at an upper end portion side where a radial direction rigidity is relatively low, than at a lower end portion side where the rigidity is high. In a state in which a magnetic tape is wound, the tape winding surface can form a shape that is substantially symmetrical with respect to a transverse direction of the magnetic tape. As a result, the reel and a recording tape cartridge are obtained in which the outer peripheral surface of the hub forms a proper shape in a state in which a recording tape is wound.

摘要: Provided is a reel capable of improving the rigidity of the hub and maintaining the tape characteristics. A single resin layer 36 lying below an aluminum ring 112 in an axial direction of the reel hub 32 and having a wall thickness t2 of 0.8-1.7 mm can suppress the partial rigidity reduction of the reel hub 32. This can suppress the partial characteristic deterioration of a recording tape T wound on the reel hub 32 (partial broadening of the width of the recording tape T, etc.). Besides, crack occurrence can be reduced in the single resin layer 114 of the reel hub 32.

摘要: A recording tape cartridge is disclosed wherein when in non-use, a reel accommodated in a case and having a recording tape wound thereon is prevented from rotating by being meshed with a braking member which is non-rotatble with reference to the case; and when in use, in response to the braking member being pushed up by a release pad or a clutch member, the reel is released from the meshed state and allowed to rotate together with the release pad or the clutch member. With the rotation of the reel, the braking member has its pivot portion disposed in sliding contact with a sliding contact portion formed at a portion corresponding to an axial center of the release pad or the clutch member while being pressed against the sliding contact portion by a biasing force of a compression coil spring. The recording tape cartridge is designed such that a relation μ×L≦0.4 holds between a length L (mm) of the compression coil spring along the axis line of the reel when the reel rotates together with the release pad or the clutch member and a coefficient of dynamic friction μ between the pivot portion of the braking member and the sliding contact portion of the release pad or the clutch member.
