摘要: An artificial fishing lure utilizes gyratory motion of a rotating auger of the lure to provide novel water dynamics while the lure is being pulled through the water in order to entice a fish to strike at the lure. The lure includes a shaft, a head on one end of the shaft, a tail on another end of the shaft, and the auger situated freely on the shaft between the head and the tail for rotation on and about the longitudinal axis of the shaft. The auger has one or more configured external blades along its length. The blade(s) provide a means that rotates the auger through water resistance as the lure is pulled through the water to thereby create novel and enhanced water dynamics.

摘要: A vibration management system for a work machine may include at least one machine component configured to respond to input commands from an operator of the machine. One or more vibration sensors may be configured to output a signal indicative of a vibration level experienced by the operator. A controller may be configured to monitor the output signal from the one or more vibration sensors and determine an average vibration level experienced by the operator. The controller may also be configured to monitor the input commands from the operator and calculate a predicted response of the at least one machine component to at least one of the input commands. The controller may also be configured to determine a predicted vibration effect on the operator based on the predicted response and adjust an actual response of the at least one machine component to the at least one operator input command based on the predicted vibration effect and the average vibration level.

摘要: An apparatus and method for inverse treatment planning for stereotactic radiosurgery is disclosed. Target position and volume are initially determined by establishing a reliable x,y,z coordinate system using a stereotactic frame and imaging the regions of interest in the patient. The target volume is geometrically packed with "shot volumes" determined by isodose curves of single Leksell "gamma knife" shots on a series of two-dimensional slices to generate a net treatment volume. A final treatment plan is generated by further packing the target volume with the treatment volume determined by the isodose surface of all of the gamma knife shots. Once the final treatment plan is developed, the patient is treated with the "gamma knife." The result is that the target volume is sufficiently irradiated while the amount of radiation to surrounding tissue or critical structures in the patient is minimized.
