    摘要: To permit direct attachment of a deceleration sensing element to a printed circuit board or the like, a housing (2) made of insulating material retains therein a flexing or bending piezo-ceramic transducer (4) which is electrically connected to terminals (5) passing through the housing, spaced by standard printed circuit board hole spacings from each other; electrical connection between the piezo-ceramic flexing or bending transducer (4) and the terminals (5) is obtained by an electrically conductive adhesive (6) filled into chambers formed in the housing and extending from both sides of the flexing or bending transducer. The housing is preferably encapsulated by a coating of silicone rubber, and can be inserted into a groove (9) in a support side wall (1) by an externally projecting winged spring (10), and secured therein by an adhesive (8).

    摘要: A temperature-sensitive portion of the circuit of a voltage regulator of a vehicular battery charging system is located in or on the battery for simultaneously sensing the battery voltage and the battery temperature so as to provide through a single additional connection the necessary information to the remainder of a voltage regulator which is mounted in the vehicle generator. The temperature-sensitive portion of the voltage regulator components, which may be constituted by a single resistor, can be located in a housing in the connection clamp to the ungrounded terminal of the battery, in the filling cap of a battery cell or in a cavity in the battery case.

    摘要: To permit elimination of separate exciter diodes of a vehicular three-phase alternator, and yet reliably ensure protection of the vehicular battery and provide an indication of discharge of the battery and hence possible failure of any excitation for the alternator, while additionally providing an indication of possible damage to the battery due to overvoltage conditions, the field of the alternator is separately excited from the battery through a voltage regulator connected to the main switch, and a low-voltage and high-voltage indicator is connected in parallel to the battery, preferably an LED triggered to illumination upon response of one of two threshold sensing circuits which sense undervoltage and overvoltage conditions of the battery beyond a predetermined voltage range.

    摘要: A multi-phase generator has a separately excited shunt field which is controlled by a voltage regulator. A free-wheeling diode is connected in parallel with the field. The voltage regulator is included in a single, hermetically sealed housing which has a metal base plate forming one terminal of the voltage regulator; two insulated terminals project from the voltage regulator and are sealed, in insulated relation, through the housing, preferably the base plate. Three monolithic semi-conductor integrated circuit (IC) chips are located within the sealed housing, two of them soldered to the base plate so that one of the semi-conductor connections of the chip are directly connected to the base plate, the connection being for the collector of the power transistor and the anode of the free-wheeling diode, the control portion of the voltage regulator being secured to a ceramic plate which is attached to the base plate, other terminals from the voltage regulator are being effected internally, by bonding wires, and to the two externally excessible contacts, so that the entire assembly is simple, readily manufactured, and requires little assembly, labor and time for connection to an alternator structure.
