Abstract: Compositions and methods for coating medical devices are provided. A coating composition may comprise a tether covalently attached to an anti-microbial peptide, the tether having sufficient length to permit the anti-microbial peptide to at least partially penetrate a membrane of a bacteria, upon contact of the anti-microbial peptide with the bacteria.
