摘要: Techniques and devices for depolarizing light and producing a variable differential group delays in optical signals. In one implementation, an input optical beam is split into first and second beams with orthogonal polarizations. One or two optical reflectors are then used to cause the first and second optical beams to undergo different optical path lengths before they are recombined into a single output beam. An adjustment mechanism may used implemented to adjust the difference in the optical path lengths of the first and second beams to produce a variable DGD. When the depolarization of light is desired, the difference in the optical path lengths of the first and second beams is set to be greater than the coherence length of the input optical beam.

摘要: Systems and methods are disclosed for regulating body temperature. The system includes a housing that comprises compartments for a phase change material and a heat transfer material. The compartments are configured to transfer heat from the heat transfer material to the phase change material. A temperature sensor is used to determine when the phase change material has reached a pre-determined temperature. When the pre-determined temperature is reached, a release mechanism or lever is coupled to the temperature sensor to separate the phase change material compartment from the heat transfer material compartment or to remove the heat transfer material away from the phase change material compartment. The heated phase change material compartment can be used to regulate body temperature.

摘要: A method and program product for managing work products by utilizing a data model that provides traceability between business requirements and implemented services. The data model includes functional requirement, process element, business service, service design and service component asset types, and the relationships between the asset types. The asset types and the relationships provide a tracing between the functional requirement and the implemented service. In one embodiment, the tracing includes generating a series of displays in response to hyperlink selections. The series of displays include details of related instances of the functional requirement, process element, business service, service design, and service component asset types.

摘要: A method and a system for modelling a supply chain network are provided. The present method includes defining a plurality of pilot elements, wherein each of the pilot elements includes a plurality of supply chain components. The present method also includes receiving a plurality of user inputs and generating and displaying a supply chain process according to the user inputs, wherein the supply chain process is constructed with the supply chain components of the pilot elements. The present method further includes translating the supply chain process into a supply chain network model and verifying the supply chain network model. Thereby, the present method and system can effectively model and establish a supply chain network.
