摘要: The disclosed embodiments illustrate methods and systems for estimating a skew angle of an image. The method includes identifying a set of measurable blocks from one or more blocks in said image. The method further includes dilating each measurable block, in said set of measurable blocks, with a predetermined regular structure to create a set of modified measurable blocks. The method further includes selecting a second set of measurable blocks from said set of modified measurable blocks based on a size of each modified measurable block in said set of modified measurable blocks. Thereafter, the method includes determining a slope of each measurable block in said second set of measurable blocks. Further, the slope is utilizable to estimate said skew angle of said image. The method is performed by one or more microprocessors.

摘要: Systems and methods for reducing toner usage. A print job is received into a print engine. The print engine comprises a processor, and the print job comprises an image. A halftone screen is applied to the pixels of continuous image data for the image. The processor produces a threshold array of pixel values based on the halftone screen. The processor generates a mask based on the halftone screen for each color plane of the image. The processor applies the mask to the threshold array, creating a modified threshold array. The modified threshold array corresponds to relatively reduced toner usage for rendering the image.

The first region includes at least the region of interest. A first projection profile of pixels is determined in the region of interest. The first projection profile of pixels is indicative of a presence of a content in the region of interest. The region of interest is classified in at least one category based on a comparison of the first projection profile with a predetermined projection profile associated with the region of interest.

摘要: There is provided a method for filling at least one color in one or more outline images at a multi-function device. The method includes providing a user interface for displaying a color fill option. Based on receiving a selection of the color fill option, a file including at least one outline image is received by a controller. The at least one outline image includes at least one image field. Then, it is identified by an image processor, if the at least one image field includes at least one color marking. Based on the identification, the at least one image field is automatically filled by the image processor according to the at least one color marking to generate a color filled image.

摘要: A print system may include a print engine, a processing device and programming instructions to halftone an electronic document to be printed. The system may receive an input image representing the electronic document to be printed, use a first and second threshold array, which are flipped to each other, to halftone the input image to generate a first and second set of data, respectively, then combine the first and second set of data to generate a halftoned image. In combining the first and second set of data, each dot in the halftoned image may represent full saturation if the corresponding dot in at least one of the first and second set of data represents full saturation, or white if the corresponding dots in both the first and second set of data are white. The system may use the same halftoning method for a monochrome or color document.

For a connected component comprising a rectangular group of pixels enclosing a set of connected pixels having the same binary state, the size characteristic may be based on a ratio of height to width of the connected component and the total number of pixels within the connected component, the solidity characteristic may be based on a ratio of pixels within a convex hull of the set of connected pixel to a total number of pixels within the connected component, and the run length characteristic may be based on a number of transitions within the connected component.

摘要: A method and system are provided for optical character recognition (OCR) of multi-language content. The method includes extracting a text portion from an image received from a user-computing device. The text portion comprises a plurality of keywords associated with a plurality of languages. The method further includes segmenting the plurality of keywords into a plurality of layers. Each layer of the plurality of layers comprises one or more keywords which are associated with a language. The method further comprise generating an OCR output of each of the plurality of layers based on the language associated with the one or more keywords in each of the plurality of layers. The method further comprises generating an electronic document of the received image based on the generated OCR output of each of the plurality of layers. The method further includes transmitting the generated electronic document to the user-computing device.
