    Abstract: The invention relates to a solid, particulate, urea-based blend composition comprising a urea-based compound in particulate form, a component comprising an ammonium source in particulate form, a urease inhibitor of the type phosphoric triamide, an alkaline or alkaline-forming inorganic or organic compound that is able to interact with the component comprising an ammonium source in particulate form, selected from the group consisting of metal oxides, metal carbamates, metal hydroxides, metal acetates and any mixtures thereof, or from the group of organic bases consisting of ammonia, amines, amides, adenines, amidines, guanidines, anilines, carbamates, thiazoles, triazoles, pyridines; imidazoles, benzimidazoles, histidines, phosphazenes, and any mixture thereof, wherein the urea-based blend composition further comprises a cation source, different from the alkaline or alkaline-forming inorganic or organic compound, comprising a cation selected from the group consisting of Fe2+, Fe3+, Mn2+, Zn2+, Cu+, Cu2+, Ni2+, Ag+, Pt2+, Ru2+, Co3+ and Cr3+.

    Abstract: A method is disclosed for the manufacture of a homogeneous, solid, particulate, urea-based composition comprising urea and an additive in a urea production plant comprising at least an evaporator section and a particulation section, further comprising one or more of a mixing section, an effluent gas treatment section and a scrubber solution storage section, comprising the steps of:



    (i) concentrating a urea melt of about 80 weight % to about 95 to 99 weight % of urea;
    (ii) particulating a urea or urea-based melt into a urea or urea-based composition;
    (iii) mixing the urea melt of about 95 to 99 weight % with other fertilizer components to produce a urea-based melt;
    (iv) treating the effluent gas from the particulation section comprising urea-based dust particles and ammonia gas with water to produce a scrubber solution; and
    (v) storing the scrubber solution from the effluent gas treatment section.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for the production of an urea ammonium sulphate (UAS) composition, wherein said UAS composition comprises 1 to 40 weight % of ammonium sulphate (AS) relative to the total weight of the UAS composition, from sulphuric acid, ammonia and/or ammonium carbamate, and urea, in a pipe reactor comprising at least a reactor section wherein feeds of sulphuric acid and/or ammonium bisulphate, ammonia and/or ammonium carbamate, and urea are combined to obtain said urea ammonium sulphate (UAS) composition, comprising the step of including a viscosity-reducing agent, selected from the group of water soluble aluminium salts, into one or more of said feeds.     Abstract: The invention relates to a particulate urea-based blend composition comprising a urea-based compound in particulate form and one or more components in particulate form, selected from the group of nitrates, phosphates, sulphates and chlorides, and a urease inhibitor of the type phosphoric triamide, and a magnesium sulphate, wherein the urea-based blend composition is further characterized in that it comprises an alkaline or alkaline-forming compound, selected from the group of calcium oxide, zinc oxide, magnesium oxide, calcium carbonate, and mixtures thereof. The composition according to the invention has improved properties for reducing ammonia loss by urease activity in the soil and is in particular suitable as a fertilizer.
