    摘要: A tape printing apparatus for making printed labels includes a keyboard for entering a character string, a display screen for displaying the character string, a tape cassette printer mechanism for printing the character string on the tape, a tape width detector for detecting the tape width of the tape cassette mounted on the printer mechanism, a first display data generator which generates pattern image data used to define the effective display zone of display screen that is proportional to the detected tape width, and a second display data generator which generates image data of the entered character string based on stored font data so that a print image of the character string in correct proportion to the tape width is displayed in the display zone.

    摘要: After initialization (S1), the cassette signal is retrieved (S2). Then the tape width of the tape in the tape cassette mounted in the tape printer is determined by tape TB1 (S4). The width of the image display zone is calculated using the tape width and using the table TB5 (S7). The data of standard format information is stored in the start address of the text memory (S8). A text input screen is displayed set with the image display zone corresponding to the tape width calculated in S2 for the display. A cursor is also displayed having the size of the display character size, which was determined based on the print character size, which has been calculated using the tape width, the number of lines "1," and the table TB3. Accordingly, it is possible to provide a grasp of the relation between tape width and the situation at which characters will be printed.

When an enlargement display key is input after designating characters, a line or block, on the enlargement display flag signal is indicated. The device and method permit the displayed data to be have its size increased on a display screen so as to be equal to the size to be printed. However, if the size to be printed is too small to be clearly viewed, the data on the display screen can be enlarged and an appropriate signal is displayed on the display.

    摘要: In a cylinder block having a water jacket, there is disposed a partition wall member which divides the water jacket into upper and lower bore sections. The partition wall member is gradually raised with increase of distance from one axial end of the cylinder block so that the volumes of the upper and lower bores sections reduce and increase, respectively, with increase of distance from the axial one end of the cylinder block. The partition wall member is formed, in the vicinity of the other axial end of the cylinder block, with openings for connecting the upper and lower bore sections. With this arrangement, the cylinder bores in the cylinder block are equally cooled by the cooling water which flows in the upper and lower bore sections, separately.
