摘要： A method and apparatus of updating location numbers of cells associated with a mobile switching center, MSC (110), wherein each cell has a location number (124), identifying the cell and representing a discount applicable to the cell, wherein a first set of one or more digits (D1) of the location number represents a first discount applicable to service usage in the cell during a first time interval, and a second set of one or more digits (D2) of the location number represents a second discount applicable to service usage in the cell during a second time interval. The method comprising: for each cell, receiving in the MSC (110) within a first time interval, a location number for the cell with an updated second set of the one or more digits representing the second discount; in response to any service request during the first time interval, applying charging of the requested service with the first discount; for each cell, receiving in the MSC (110) within a second time interval following the first time interval, a location number for the cell with an updated first set of the one or more digits representing the first discount and; and applying charging of the requested service with the second discount.

摘要： A method and apparatus is provided for transmitting a cell broadcast message in a mobile communication network comprising in a message control node receiving a initiation request identifying a first message payload segment to be transmitted, determining an authentication group for which the first message payload segment is intended and determining a first encryption key associated with the determined authentication group. The first message payload segment is encrypted using the first encryption key. A message payload is aggregated comprising the encrypted first message payload segment and at least a second message payload segment. The cell broadcast message comprising the aggregated message payload for message broadcast is transmitted within at least a part of the communication network. A method and apparatus is also provided for decrypting a cell broadcast message at a mobile terminal.

摘要： A method and apparatus is provided for transmitting a cell broadcast message in a mobile communication network comprising in a message control node receiving a initiation request identifying a first message payload segment to be transmitted, determining an authentication group for which the first message payload segment is intended and determining a first encryption key associated with the determined authentication group. A notification message is sent to a user equipment device based on the triggered event. Certain embodiments suppress notification messages based on notification criteria.

摘要： A transmission controller (40) comprises a transmission request processor (44); a transmission reservation grantor (46); and, a transmission monitor (48). The transmission request processor (44) is configured to receive a request for a transmission reservation emanating from a client application executed at a wireless terminal (30). The transmission reservation grantor (46) is configured to use transmission rules stored for the wireless terminal (30) to make a determination whether to grant a transmission reservation responsive to the request for the transmission reservation. The transmission monitor (48) is configured (1) to perform a monitoring of the transmission operation for compliance with the transmission rules after granting the request for the transmission reservation and during a remainder of the transmission operation toward the wireless terminal associated with the transmission reservation and (2) to control bandwidth used by at least a portion of the remainder of the transmission operation in accordance with the monitoring.
