    摘要: An image reading apparatus includes: a conveying roller that comes in contact with a sheet medium and causes a conveying force to convey the sheet medium in a conveying direction to act on the sheet medium contacting the conveying roller; an imaging unit that captures an image of the sheet medium that has been conveyed; a guide plate that is provided upstream of the imaging unit in the conveying direction, forms a part of a conveying path through which the sheet medium is conveyed, and includes a plurality of slits along a main-scanning direction perpendicular to the conveying direction; and a charging member that is chargeable, provided upstream of the imaging unit in the conveying direction, arranged separate, via the plurality of slits, from the sheet medium that is being conveyed, and charged at least when the sheet medium is being conveyed by the conveying roller.

    摘要: A multiaccess communications system for a communications network in which a plurality of nodes are connected to a head end by a common transmission path to perform wideband transmission of packets between the nodes, particularly a multiaccess communications system such as a carrier sensing multiaccess (CSMA) system or a collision sensing CSMA (CSMA/CD) system. A single transmission cable or a pair of transmission cables are efficiently shared by various channels. Each of the nodes is provided with a transceiver in association with the cable or the cables. All the channels are effectively utilized by means of a relatively simple system construction.

    摘要: Epitaxial layers are formed by introducing a reaction gas mixture into a reaction vessel in which semiconductor substrates are located, under a pressure of not higher than 1333 Pa (10 Torr), and heating said semiconductor substrates by high frequency induction power so that layers grow epitaxially on said semiconductor substrates. The frequency f of high frequency power is not higher than 50 kHz, and the pressure P in said reaction vessel is maintained in the following range ##STR1## wherein, P is the pressure in units of Pa or Torr in the reaction vessel and f is the frequency in kHz of said high frequency power.
