摘要： For an image formation apparatus having supplemental light sources in addition to an optical system for providing an image forming light beam reflected from an original to be copied, a control unit controls exposure by these supplemental light sources according to the photosensitivity characteristics of microcapsules of different kinds with which a light-receiving sheet is coated and which respond differently to individual beams from the supplemental light sources. The control unit may also be designed to take into consideration the effects of ambient humidity and the user's choice for particular coloring.

摘要： An image forming apparatus such as a copier of the type using a light and pressure sensitive material to form a visible image by exposing photosensitive microcapsules to image forming light to thereby form an invisible pattern of selectively hardened microcapsules and pressing these microcapsules against a transfer sheet superposed thereon to rupture the microcapulses according to the pattern to effect chromogenic reactions selectively, is provided with a supplemental light source for exposing areas of the material not intended for forming an image such that unnecessary microcapsules in these areas do not cause stains on components of the apparatus.

摘要： An image glazing device for applying a gloss to an image formed on an image receiving material is accommodated in an image forming apparatus the image glazing device being provided with at least two rollers disposed in a direction of feed of the image receiving material, an image glazing belt passed between and rotatably driven by the two rollers for applying the gloss to the image, a heater accommodated in or disposed in the vicinity of an upstream one of the two rollers for heating the image glazing belt and a paper transport guide located immediately below and along the image glazing belt for transporting the image receiving material wherein the diameter of the downstream one of the two rollers is determined in accordance with the rotating speed of the image glazing belt and the temperature of the image glazing belt at a location where the downstream roller is provided so that image offsetting will not take place. A guide member may be provided at a predetermined angle with the paper transport guide is provided in the vicinity of the downstream roller which is conducive to easy separation of the image receiving material from the image glazing belt.

摘要： An image forming apparatus makes use of a photosensitive sheet having a surface coated with microcapsules encapsulating a light-curable agent and a colorless dye and an image transfer sheet having one surface coated with a developing agent having an chromogenic effect on the encapsulated colorless dye. When these sheets are superposed one on top of the other and transported to and pressed together between a pair of pressure rollers, the image transfer sheet is transported to the pressure rollers by making an angle greater than 0.5.degree. with the axial direction of these rollers.
