摘要： A substrate for an electrooptic device comprising a light-transmissive base member, a reflection layer formed on the base member so as to include each reflection portion and a corresponding transmission portion having a transmission factor higher than that of the reflection portion, a light transmission layer formed over the base member so as to coincide with the reflection layer and to include each hollow at a position that coincides with the transmission portion in plane, and an orientation film formed over the base member so as to coincide with the light transmission layer and to define a concavity while entering the corresponding hollow. The thickness “b” of a liquid crystal layer corresponding to the concavity is greater than the thickness “a” of the liquid crystal layer at the other positions thereof.

摘要： There is provided a liquid crystal display panel that includes an array substrate having at least a pixel electrode and a switching element for every pixel area in a display area on a transparent substrate, a color filter substrate in which a light shielding layer made of a resin is formed on a transparent substrate at least outside the display area and a color filter layer is formed to oppose the pixel electrode, and liquid crystal enclosed between the array substrate and the color filter substrate that are bonded by a seal material. A protection film having an opening, the opening being opened in the display area, is formed on the color filter substrate in the outside of the display area to cover at least the portion of the light shielding layer on which the seal material is formed.

摘要： An electromagnetic device and a high-voltage generating device which are thin and improved in the characteristics are provided in which a magnetic core is made of a cylindrical form of a ferrite material having a higher intrinsic resistance. A winding is provided by winding a flat rectangular wire conductor in an edge-wise winding form directly on substantially the entire length of the magnetic core. As any insulator such as a coil bobbin is not needed between the flat rectangular wire conductor and the magnetic core, the winding can be decreased in the overall size or thickness thus contributing to the dimensional reduction of the electromagnetic device. Also, as its flat rectangular wire conductor is wound directly on the magnetic core, the winding can be minimized in the length and thus the overall resistance. Moreover, as there is no gap between the winding and the magnetic core, the self-inductance can be reduced while the size and the number of turns of the winding remain unchanged.
