    摘要: In a document retrieving apparatus, an audio input section converts a sound into a character pattern. A language model storing section stores likelihood information. A word choosing section obtains a word selection result based on the likelihood information. A retrieval condition producing section produces retrieval conditions based on the word selection result. A document storing section stores document to be retrieved. And, a document retrieving section retrieves the documents based on the retrieval conditions. An effective document search can be performed regardless of the sentence recognition accuracy without requiring higher cost in collecting the required language data.

    摘要: A searching apparatus includes an index generation portion for generating an index to provide data of the number of documents including the key word and the number of appearances of the key word. Matching degrees between the key word and documents are calculated from the number of documents including the key word and the number of appearances of the key word. A portion of documents are arranged in order of the matching degree in a buffer which are outputted as the searching result. Lower rank documents regarding the matching degree are searched by comparing the lowest matching degree of the neighbour higher ranked document arranged in the buffer. At first time searching, data of the latest edition of the documents stored in a memory is detected and stored and is used to provide second time searching operation to eliminate inconsistency in the searching result between the editions at first and second time searching operations. The index is generated every field of each document. The matching degree of combined field is calculated by logical operation between the two fields. Moreover, an index of combined field may be generated and one of field of the combined field may be omitted. The matching degree of the other field is also obtained by another logical operation.

    摘要: The document retrieval unit retrieves documents in a set of retrieval object documents stored in the memory unit according to the entered retrieval condition such as retrieval word, sequences each document depending on the goodness of fit to the retrieval condition, and issues the retrieval result by shuffling the documents in the sequence by occurrence. The occurrence distribution calculating unit calculates the occurrence distribution of retrieval conditions from this sequenced retrieval results and the table of sets of sample documents stored in the memory unit. The retrieval history storage unit stores the entered retrieval condition, the sequenced retrieval result from the document retrieval unit, and the occurrence distribution of retrieval conditions calculated by the occurrence distribution calculating unit in the memory unit as retrieval history. The retrieval history processing unit graphically processes the retrieval history stored in this memory unit, and calculates the occurrence distribution of retrieval condition in each set of sample document, so that the user can easily judge the validity of the retrieval condition and the effect of the retrieval condition on the retrieval result.

    摘要: The present invention intends to hold safely string information such as secret information, or the like, and also to lessen user's burden of storing the information in connection to the string information. In registering the secret information, a coding section 16 synthesizes input correct secret information SD and individual characteristic information under a predetermined rule, and produces a code word S16. A check symbol for error correction is produced in the course of the coding of the coding section 16, and this check symbol is stored in a storing section 20. In reproducing the secret information, an error correcting section 22 applies an error correcting process using the check symbol stored in the storing section 20 to a code word, which is produced by the coding section 16 based on the input secret information SD and the individual characteristic information, as the object. Accordingly, the correct secret information is reproduced.
