摘要： An ink jet recording apparatus having a conveying unit for conveying a recording medium to be recorded on, a body unit including an ink containing unit mounting section for mounting an ink containing unit for containing ink to be supplied to a recording head and a cassette mounting section for mounting a cassette for supplying the recording medium. Also provided are a recording unit including a recording head mounting section for mounting the recording head, a carriage unit for moving the recording unit in a predetermined direction, a recovery unit for restoring an ink discharge function, an electrical power source unit for actuating the ink jet recording apparatus, and an electrical circuit unit for controlling the conveying unit, the recording unit, the carriage unit and the recovery unit. The recording head mounting section and electrical circuit unit are provided within the body unit and the ink containing unit mounting section is provided at a position lower than the recording head mounting section and below the electrical circuit unit.

摘要： An ink jet printer has a recovery system for sucking ink from nozzle orifices together with air bubbles stagnant in orifices so as to recover the normal state in the orifices. The recovery system has a vacuum generating device, a capping device and a valve mechanism for controlling the vacuum generated in the vacuum generating device to the capping device. The recovery system further has a temperature detector for detecting the temperature of the ink. The operation timing of the valve mechanism is controlled in accordance with the temperature of the ink detected by the temperature detecting means, so that the amount of ink sucked by the recovery system is regulated in accordance with the temperature of the ink.

摘要： A low cost, compact ink jet recording apparatus effectively uses a single drive source for controlling paper feed and discharge operations. The apparatus comprises a feed mechanism for feeding a sheet to be printed, discharge rollers for discharging the printed sheet, a moving mechanism for engaging and disengaging the discharge rollers, and a single drive source for operating the feed mechanism, the discharge rollers and the moving mechanism. The apparatus increases sheet feeding reliability by disengaging the discharge rollers during printing. Because the sheet feed mechanism, moving mechanism and discharge rollers are operated by a single drive source, a simpler structure is possible.

摘要： An ink sheet cassette of reduced size and a recording apparatus for loading the ink sheet cassette therein are provided. 摘要： A picture reading apparatus is disclosed which comprises a camera which converts a picture to be read to an electric signal, a supporting member for supporting the camera movably, and a voice input unit. A control device serves to minimize the output from the voice input unit during movement of the supporting member. Thus while a mechanism for moving the camera is in operation, the output from the voice input unit is minimized to suppress the output of operational noise.
