    摘要： When a user uses an image processing device, the image processing device accesses a private PC of the user connected to a network to request acquisition of environmental information. A printer driver in the private PC collects various settings (including desktop theme, application settings, and device driver settings) from within the private PC. The settings are transmitted to the image processing device. The image processing device, based on the acquired setting information, changes the panel display, application settings, and others. This simplifies setting of the image processing device.

With reference to a table having recorded therein prohibited functions that need to be prohibited during execution of the maintenance job, control is performed such that an image processing job that does not use the prohibited functions (Step S15: NO) is executed in parallel with the maintenance job even during execution (Step S16).

    摘要： An image projection system includes a projector to project a projected image onto a drawing surface of a whiteboard, a drawn-image detecting portion to detect a drawn image which is drawn on the drawing surface of the whiteboard while the projector is projecting the projected image, and a modification portion which, in the case where the drawn image is detected, to specify from the projected image which is projected onto the projection surface a part including at least a drawn image part overlapping the detected drawn image, and modify the specified part of the projected image, on the basis of the detected drawn image, so as to emphasize or cancel the drawn image.

    摘要： The image of a document is depicted on a sheet of paper together with a background pattern image expressing a password, and the password is notified to a person having authority to duplicate the document. A requestor requesting duplication of the document is caused to enter a password (#104), and the document image and the background pattern image are obtained by scanning the sheet (#101). Then, it is determined whether the requestor has the above-described authority, based on the entered password and the password expressed by the obtained background pattern image (#105). When it is determined that the requestor has the authority, a different password is issued. The document image is printed on a separate sheet of paper together with a background pattern image expressing the different password, and the different password is notified to a person having authority to duplicate the document printed on the separate sheet of paper.
