摘要： A method and apparatus for activating a deactivated Component Carrier in a cellular communication system supporting carrier aggregation. The method includes receiving, from a Base Station (BS), UpLink (UL) scheduling information for a UL CC in a deactivated state; determining whether a DownLink (DL) CC associated with the UL CC is activated; and activating the DL CC, when the DL CC is not activated.
