The method includes: receiving a block of first system information from the base station via the BCH; after the block is received, receiving a first block of second system information from the base station via the DL_SCH configured to carry system information and other data, the first block including schedule information; and after the first block is received, receiving a second block of second system information from the base station via the DL_SCH in accordance with the schedule information included in the first block.
