    摘要: A transmitter for a mobile communication system based on an OFDM scheme and a method for controlling the same. The transmitter can implement a characteristic of a multiple access scheme based on an OFDM scheme, a characteristic of a CDMA scheme, and a characteristic of a frequency hopping scheme which has very strong resistance to the frequency selective fading. An apparatus for transmitting information bit sequences from a BS (Base Station) transmitter to different users, includes a plurality of channelizers for dividing a single frame of information bit sequences to be transmitted to individual users into a plurality of times according to a given time interval, simultaneously transmitting the information bit sequences to the individual users within the plurality of division times, dividing the information bit sequences, spreading the divided information bit sequences using different Walsh codes, converting the spread information bit sequences into a single sequence associated with the individual users, and outputting the single sequence; and a frequency hopper for dividing the single sequence, distributing the spread information bit sequences over a plurality of bandwidths capable of mapping-processing the spread information bit sequences with sub-carrier frequencies, and preventing each of the bandwidths from overlapping with time-frequency cells given by the given time interval.

In a transmitter employing a plurality of transmit antennas in the mobile communication system, if a signal to be transmitted is input, the transmit signal is pre-encoded according to a preset coding scheme, the pre-encoded signal is space-time mapped according to a number of the transmit antennas to employ a preset space time block coding scheme, and the space-time mapped signal is transmitted through the transmit antennas by applying the preset space time block coding scheme to the space-time mapped signal.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for SFBC coding and decoding in a communication system using a plurality of (Nt) Tx antennas are provided. In a transmitter using Nt transmit antennas, a pre-coder pre-codes an input symbol sequence using a pre-coding matrix. The pre-coding matrix is produced by puncturing a unitary matrix in a predetermined method. An encoder generates a plurality of vectors by grouping the symbols of the pre-coded symbol sequence by twos, space-frequency maps each of the vectors by encoding each of the vectors in an Alamouti coding scheme, and provides each of the space-frequency mapped symbols to a predetermined OFDM modulator.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for transmitting/receiving an random access channel (RACH) signal in a broadband wireless communication system where a total uplink frequency band is divided into M sub-bands are provided. In the RACH transmitting apparatus, a generator generates an access code. A sub-carrier allocator divides the access code into M sub-blocks and allocates each of the M sub-blocks to successive sub-carriers in a sub-band. An inverse fast Fourier transform (IFFT) processor generates an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbol by performing an IFFT on the allocated sub-blocks.
