    摘要: An array speaker system canceling non-uniform radiation patterns and a method for implementing the same are provided. The method for canceling non-uniform radiation patterns includes predicting radiation patterns in an array speaker with respect to input signals, generating cancellation signals with respect to at least one region corresponding to non-uniform radiation patterns of the predicted radiation patterns, synthesizing the input signals and the cancellation signals, and outputting the synthesized signals to the array speaker. Sound signals from which non-uniform radiation patterns having distorted sound are cancelled such that a stable sound field having uniform radiation characteristics may be obtained and provided to a listener.

    摘要: An array speaker system canceling non-uniform radiation patterns and a method for implementing the same are provided.     摘要: A method and apparatus for compensating for a near-field effect in a speaker array system is provided. The method includes generating a virtual sound signal at a position, which is separated from a speaker array by a predetermined distance, based on an input sound signal, and outputting the generated virtual sound signal using the speaker array. Therefore, the near-field effect, in which a sound radiated from a speaker array is distorted to have non-uniform radiation characteristics near the speaker array, can be compensated for. Consequently, the method and apparatus can provide a stable sound field, into which non-uniform radiation characteristics uniformly converge, to a listener.

The method includes calculating a coefficient of a filter that controls sound pressure of an input signal, based on a sound pressure ratio of a suppression area that suppresses sound emitted from an array speaker and an emphasis area that emphasizes the sound, and sound pressure efficiency in the emphasis area, generating a plurality of output signals that focuses the sound to the emphasis area by filtering the input signal based on the calculated coefficient of the filter, and outputting a sound field controlled sound based on the generated plurality of output signals. Accordingly, a listener in a predetermined direction and distance from the array speaker can clearly hear sound, without wearing an earphone or a headset so as to focus the sound only to the listener.

The method includes generating a virtual sound source signal delayed by a virtual delay value, instead of by the minimum delay value, according to a sampling rate of an input sound source signal, from the input sound source signal; generating a speaker output signal in which a sampling rate is changed based on the input sound source signal and the generated virtual sound source signal; and outputting the generated speaker output signal. Thus, a non-uniform radiation pattern, which causes distortion in a sound radiated from a speaker array, is removed and the limitation of a frequency band of a controllable sound source signal is overcome, thereby providing a stable sound.
