摘要: A P2P network has a content provider and a plurality of peers viewing the same video streaming channel. Each peer has a P2P live streaming system. In an exemplary system, a token manager module manages at least a token sent by the plurality of peer nodes, notifies a recording manager module to publish recorded media stream content, and to record media stream data. The recording manager module, according to the notification, manages a corresponding buffer for each peer node itself, records the media stream content into the corresponding buffer and publishes the recorded media stream content information to the P2P network. A P2P module handles the P2P messages and maintains the P2P network topology for the plurality of peer nodes.

摘要: The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for splicing multimedia session on communication networks. The apparatus comprises a handoff manager, a session migration manager and a session splicing module. The handoff manager monitors whether a mobile host is roaming to other subnets or not, and acquires a new IP address and issues a control signal when a handoff event is triggered. When a user triggers a migration action, the session migration manager, based on the monitoring status of an ongoing session, sends a state message to a target host for performing session migration, enables a media player, and issues another control signal. The session splicing module respectively receives the two control signals, and performs a corresponding session splicing for each control signal to persist session connection.

摘要: The present invention is directed to an apparatus and method for IP mobility management for persistent connections. Without affecting the applications on the network domain, it provides for domain hand-off for a mobile node so that the mobile node can maintain the persistent connection. The mobility management apparatus may comprise a Mobility-Aware Socket module (MAS) and one or more mobility management servers. Each mobility management server communicates with a corresponding mobile node. When a mobile node roams from a first network domain to a second network domain, the mobile node and its target mobile nodes execute the MAS module to support the mobility management for persistent connections through their corresponding mobility management servers.

摘要: Disclosed is a system and method for transmitting streaming services. The system may comprise a service agent having a service list. The service list records the contact addresses and priority for one or more nodes that can provide streaming services. The priority for a node represents the level that the node belongs to a path for transmitting streaming data. When a client node requests the service agent for the nodes, wherein the nodes may provide a specific streaming service, the service agent searches for the service list and responds the search result to the client node. Therefore, the client node may get the streaming data directly from the nodes being found, and these nodes form a peer-to-peer network system.

摘要: Disclosed is a networked transmission system and method for stream data. The system comprises a network, a streaming server and an ordered series of a first up to n-th cooperative-sharing groups. There is a cooperative relationship among all users' terminals in a cooperative-sharing group. The streaming server provides a plurality of programs with stream data, each program being divided into one or more audio/video clips by a time-slot unit. The streaming server transmits the one or more audio/video clips to the leader node of the first cooperative-sharing groups. The leader node of each cooperative-sharing group transmits the currently received audio/video clip to the users' terminals within the same cooperative-sharing group, and passes the received audio/video clip to the leader node of the next cooperative-sharing group after one time slot.

摘要: This invention provides a method and apparatus that uses a mobility management server (MMS) device for supporting mobility management in wireless networks. With the MMS device for services of resource management and packet relay, this invention speeds up the handover procedure for a mobile device switching from a first network domain to a second network domain in a wireless network environment having a session initiation protocol (SIP) server. When the mobile device needs to switch to the second network domain, the MMS allocates the required resources for packet relay, provides the related information for the second network domain, and takes care of the packet relay. This invention shortens the inter-domain handover latency and reduces the number of lost packets during the handover procedure. Thereby, the transmission efficiency of the present invention meets the requirement for real-time multimedia applications.
