    摘要: An object of the present invention is to provide a liquid crystal display device including a back light in which an electrode support member can be reliably arranged on the base side without concern for thermal expansion. There is provided a liquid crystal display device comprising: a liquid crystal display panel; and a back light arranged on the back surface of the present liquid crystal display panel; wherein the back light is composed of a plurality of bar light sources arranged in parallel in a plane opposing the liquid crystal display panel and a base that supports each of the bar light sources through electrode fittings at electrode sections; wherein the electrode fittings are provided on electrode support members extending in a direction in which the bar light sources are arranged in parallel, in units of the electrode fittings that support a mating electrode section of each bar light source; and wherein the electrode support member includes a portion fixed to the base side at least one point and a portion covered by a projecting portion fixed to the base side at another point, along the extending direction of the electrode support member.

    摘要: A subject of the present invention is to provide a liquid crystal display device in which the reliability of electrical connection between electrodes and electrode fittings can be improved even if there are variations in diameter of the bar light sources arranged in the back light. There is provided a liquid crystal display device comprising: a liquid crystal display panel; and a back light arranged on the back surface of the present liquid crystal display panel; wherein the back light is composed of a plurality of bar light sources arranged in parallel in a plane opposing the liquid crystal display panel and a base that supports each of the bar light sources through electrode fittings at electrode sections; wherein the electrode fittings are each provided with a pair of pressing portions which press the circumferential surface of the electrode of the bar light source from opposing sides of the circumferential surface; and wherein each of the pressing portions is arc-shaped such that the pressing portion surface facing the circumferential surface of the electrode of the bar light source has a concave; and is formed such that the pressing portion presses the electrode of the bar light source through projections formed on the concave.

    摘要: A liquid crystal display device is provided which reduces the resistance of input wires disposed between a flexible board and driving ICs mounted in a flip-chip style, and enhances resistance against electrocorrosion of input terminals thereof. The liquid crystal display device includes two transparent insulating substrates (SUB1, SUB2) confronting each other through a liquid crystal layer, plural liquid crystal driving circuits (ICs) mounted in a flip-chip style on a surface of one of the substrates located at the side of the liquid crystal layer, a flexible board (FPC) for inputting a signal to each of the liquid crystal driving circuits, and plural input wires (Td) provided on the surface of the one substrate at the side of the liquid crystal layer to connect output terminals of the flexible board to input terminals of the liquid crystal driving circuits. Each input wire includes a first metal layer (g1) in the vicinity of the surface of the substrate, a transparent conductive layer (d1) laminated on the first metal layer, connected to the input terminals of the flexible board, with open portions in the neighborhood of the input terminals of the liquid crystal driving circuits and in the neighborhood of the output terminals of the flexible board, a second metal layer (d2) laminated on the transparent conductive film and connected to the first metal layer at the open portions, and a protection film (PSV1) covering at least the second metal layer.
