摘要： A compact camera apparatus having an improved display device and circuit mounting board layout within the camera body in relationship to other components to achieve a more compact and efficient space camera utilization. In one embodiment of the camera, a display unit is located on the upper surface of the camera body, and has a portion thereof, such as its drive mechanism at least partially positioned in a space formed between a light projection unit and light receiving of the camera's rangefinder device. In another embodiment, the camera has a mounting board of the required size for holding constituent control circuit components of the camera located in the camera body with attention to the location of the board in relationship to the cartridge compartment and other camera components to provide for a more compact design. A rigid mounting board is used as the mounting board and is located and incorporated within the camera body at the upper, inside portion of the camera body, in contact with the upper end of a reverse loading type cartridge compartment, and extending over a photographic lens barrel and to the upper side of a spool compartment. At least one or more camera components is arranged in a vacant space formed between the mounting board, the photographic lens barrel and the spool compartment. Furthermore, with the rangefinder device and a photometer device both mounted on the mounting board, a portion of the viewfinder unit is located on the lower side of the mounting board.

摘要： A camera having components of a viewing optical system and a display optical system fixed at positions which do not require change for photographic lenses having different angles of view. The viewing optical system allows a photographer to view a subject through a photographic lens. The viewing optical system includes an eye piece and an objective lens positioned between the eye piece and the photographic lens. The display optical system includes a framework which displays information. The display optical system allows the photographer to view the information displayed on the framework through the eyepiece. The respective positions of the eye piece, the objective lens and the framework are fixed and do not require change to allow the camera to be useable with different photographic lenses having different, respectively corresponding angles of view.

摘要： A camera is capable of displacing a phototaking optical system in the direction of the optical axis by a drive source such as motor and setting the optical system to a plurality of positions. The camera includes a photo-taking optical system, photographing position setting means producing a command signal, a drive source, position detecting means outputting a position signal corresponding to the position of the photo-taking optical system, discriminating means for discriminating the direction of movement of the phototaking optical system, and control means for stopping the drive source and setting the photo-taking optical system at a position corresponding to the command signal as soon as the position indicated by the position signal coincides with the position indicated by the command signal when the discriminating means is discriminating a predetermined first direction of movement, stopping the drive source at a position beyond the position indicated by the command signal and then driving the drive source so that the photo-taking optical system is moved in the first direction when the disciminating means is discriminating a second direction of movement differing from the first direction of movement, and stopping the drive source and setting the photo-taking optical system at the position corresponding to the command signal as soon as the position indicated by the position signal coincides with the position indicated by the command signal.

The guide plate and the lens barriers are designed so as to be capable of overlapping each other in the direction of the optic axis, and the guide plate is designed so as not to hamper the opening-closing of the lens barriers even when they are in the overlapping position.

摘要： A camera having a cartridge compartment therein loaded with a film cartridge having a spool shaft projecting from an upper portion of the film cartridge. A switch is located in a space formed by an upper surface of the film cartridge, a side surface of the projecting portion of the spool shaft and an internal wall of the cartridge compartment. An operating member contacts the switch to operate the switch. The operating member partially projects from the camera back surface and is partially inserted into and operatively positioned in the space. The operating member is conveniently placed at a position on the camera surface for easy operation. Therefore, the switch is easily and conveniently operated and effective utilization of the internal space of the camera is employed to obtain a smaller size camera.
