摘要: A flow control valve having a seating surface formed on a valve element to contact a valve seat when the valve is closed has a shape of a part of a hypothetical spherical surface having a spherical center at a center of a supporting member. Therefore, the distance from the center of the supporting member to the seating surface is kept constant, and the valve element can be seated at a periphery of the valve seat without a gap, even if the shaft is inclined. Thus, the valve leakage is reduced. The supporting member supports a shaft connected to the valve element movable in an axial direction of the shaft. The center of the supporting member is aligned with a center of the valve seat. Movement of the supporting member in a radial direction of the supporting member is prohibited. Therefore, the center of the supporting member is not displaced from the center of the valve seat in the radial direction. Accordingly, the displacement of the shaft in the radial direction can be prevented. Therefore, the valve element is certainly seated on the valve seat, and the valve leakage is prevented.

摘要: An accelerator capable of detecting a turning angle of an accelerator pedal with high accuracy includes a bearing part, an urging part, an accelerator pedal, a stopper, and a turning angle sensor. The accelerator pedal has a turning shaft supported by the bearing part and is turned forward when a depressing force is applied thereto and is turned reversely when the urging force of the urging part is applied thereto. The stopper abuts against the accelerator pedal to limit the reverse turn of the accelerator pedal and substantially simultaneously guides the accelerator pedal in a direction equivalent to that which the urging force is applied. The turning angle sensor detects the turning angle of the accelerator pedal.

摘要: The present invention is meant to provide a novel use of benzyl alcohol for an antitumor agent guaranteed to have sufficient safety. The present inventors have made a study on the possible action of benzyl alcohol on a tumor cell to develop the use and a treatment method thereby. As a result, it has been found out that the local administration to a cancer cell site can promote the cancer cell to be separated off very efficiently and specifically. Thus, the usefulness for an antitumor agent is confirmed. Moreover, the combination with an antioxidant has been found out to increase the effect.

摘要: A displacement sensor precisely detects displacement of a moving body in a rectilinear movement direction even if the moving body rotates. The sensor includes a detector and a magnet. The cross sectional area of the permanent magnet in a plane perpendicular to an axis, which extends in the rectilinear movement direction, varies in the direction of movement. The permanent magnet is magnetized in the rectilinear movement direction. The detector is located so that magnetic flux passes through a detection face of the detector substantially perpendicularly.
