摘要： A data processing apparatus receives data by, for example, reading an image with an image reading unit, stores the received data in a temporary storage unit, judges whether or not the received data is data satisfying a condition including predetermined characteristics, such as paper money or securities, by a judgment unit, and erases the data after processing it if the data does not satisfy the predetermined condition. If the data satisfies the predetermined condition, the data processing apparatus restricts the processing of the data, and retains the data in an archive unit without erasing it.
