    摘要: A novel process for production of polyethylene comprises polymerizing ethylene or a mixture of ethylene and a copolymerizable comonomer in the presence of a Ziegler-type catalyst at a pressure of 200 atm or more and at a temperature of 125.degree. C. or more, wherein an organic peroxide is added to the resulting polymerization product taken out of a reaction zone to deactivate the remaining catalyst. Formation of undesired oligomers or low-molecular polymers is prevented because the reaction does not proceed in the polymerization product taken out of the reaction zone. There is almost no retardation of the polymerization reaction even by the recycled use of the monomer separated and collected from the polymerization product.

The catalyst used comprises Components A and B where Component A is a solid composition prepared by mixing and pulverizing (1) a magnesium halide, (2) titanium trichloride, and (3) an electron donor and Component B is an organoaluminum compound containing a halogen.

    摘要: A crosslinkable polyethylene resin composition comprises, basically, (A) a copolymer of ethylene and an ethylenically unsaturated silane compound, wherein the content of the ethylenically unsaturated silane compound unit is 0.001 to 15 percent by weight, and (B) a silanol condensation. The copolymer may further comprise a monomer copolymerizable with the ethylene and the ethylenically unsaturated silane compound. The composition may be expandable, further comprising a foaming agent and may further comprise a polyolefin and a filler and may be in the form of a film or sheet.

    摘要: The present invention comprises a fuel pump controller having a silicon controlled rectifier (SCR) for supplying a power source voltage to a fuel pump circuit for driving a fuel pump when the SCR is turned on. A timer circuit is also provided for instantly turning on the SCR for a predetermined time period when an ignition switch is initially turned on so as to provide a discharge of fuel into the carburetor before the engine is activated or rotated. In addition, a controller is provided for repeatedly turning on the SCR each time the engine is rotated such that the fuel pump will be driven by rotation of the engine until such engine rotation ceases. By operation of this assembly, fuel is supplied to the carburetor for a predetermined time period before the engine begins to rotate so as to obtain an efficient and quick engine ignition despite the possible initial lack of fuel in the carburetor. Furthermore, since the SCR is thereafter operated by the ignition pulses generated from the engine rotation, the fuel pump will automatically shut off once the engine stops.

    摘要: In a process for producing microcapsules containing hydrophobic oil drops by complex coacervation including a conventional prehardening treatment in which an aldehyde and an alkali material are added to the system, the improvement which comprises adding gelatin having an isoelectric point lower than that of the gelatin employed for forming the walls of the coacervates to the system at a temperature lower than the gelling point of the gelatin employed for forming the walls of the coacervates, but prior to the simultaneous presence in the system of said aldehyde and alkali material, in an amount sufficient to prevent an increase in viscosity due to the reaction of gelatin and aldehyde during said prehardening step.
