The energy recovery circuit may further include a first diode coupled to the scan electrode side of the panel capacitor, a second diode coupled to the sustain electrode side of the panel capacitor, a first inductor commonly coupled to the sustain electrode side and the scan electrode side of the panel capacitor, a path providing part coupled to the first inductor, and a single source capacitor connected to the path providing part.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a plasma display panel, and more particularly, to an energy recovery apparatus of a plasma display panel and method thereof. According to a first embodiment of the present invention, an energy recovery apparatus of a plasma display panel includes a resonance circuit making a sustain voltage resonate to generate a voltage increasing to a double voltage of the sustain voltage, a diode limiting the voltage generated from the resonance circuit not to exceed the sustain voltage, and a panel supplied with the sustain voltage from the resonance circuit under a control of the diode. Therefore, the present invention provides an energy recovery apparatus of a plasma display panel and method thereof, by which sustain discharge can occur stably without degrading efficiency and by which efficiency degradation and malfunction caused by noise due to a voltage variation can be prevented.

    摘要: A plasma display panel employs a voltage circuit having an input and an output, the voltage circuit configured for supplying a negative voltage for an electrode. The plasma display panel also employs a power supply that has a positive terminal and a negative terminal, where the negative terminal is connected to the input of the voltage circuit. The power supply is otherwise configured relative to the voltage circuit such that the voltage difference between the output and the input of the voltage circuit is fixed as a function of the power supply. By fixing this voltage difference, parasitic capacitance is minimized, power consumption and calorific value are reduced, and the plasma display panel operates in a more stable manner.

    摘要: There is provided a plasma display device using a driving device for supplying driving signals to a plasma display panel (PDP). In a sustain falling period that at least partially overlaps the rising period of reset signals supplied to scan electrodes formed on the PDP, a voltage supplied to sustain electrodes is gradually reduced and a positive polar voltage is supplied to address electrodes. In driving the PDP, gradually falling signals are supplied to the sustain electrodes in the rising period of the reset signals so that the driving margin of the PDP can be secured. The positive polar voltage is supplied to the address electrodes so that initialization discharge can be stably performed and that the erroneous discharge of the plasma display device can be reduced.
