    摘要： To provide a portable terminal device which has an openable and closable part and an open/close detector which detects opening and closing of the part, where the portable terminal device has a reduced thickness when closed and allows easy position adjustment during assembly. A cell phone equipped with a lower part and an upper part openable and closable in relation to the lower part has a magnet and a magnetic sensor attached to the lower part; and a magnetic plate which is attached to the upper part and leads the magnetic force of the magnet attached to the lower part to the magnetic sensor attached to the lower part when the upper part is closed over the lower part.

    摘要： The present invention relates to a portable terminal device, such as a cellular phone, which has a screen display section, such as an LCD module, in its upper part and a key manipulation section having an array of plural keys in its lower part. The portable terminal device has a removable battery and is highly protected from water especially in a battery area. There is provided a pair of inner housings, that are a backside inner housing and a front side inner housing, which form a battery compartment having an opening for battery insertion/removal. A key manipulation sheet is disposed on the front side inner housing, and the whole components are covered with a pair of outer housings.

    摘要： A light emitting element is mounted on the surface of a board. The light emitting element emits light. The light passes through a translucent optical member. The light enters the translucent optical member through a incident surface. The lines of protrusions make the incident surface jagged. The jagged surface resulting from the protrusions enables diffusion of the light entering through the incident surface. The light spreads along the surface of the board. Simultaneously, the emitted light is partly reflected on the incident surface. The reflected light is reflected on a reflecting surface placed behind the light emitting element. The reflected light then enters the translucent optical member. The translucent optical member is thus allowed to illuminate over a wide range with a sufficient brightness. An impressive illumination can be realized.

    摘要： A substantially nonmagnetic toner comprising a colorant and a binder comprising a homopolymer or copolymer having a ratio (Mw/Mn) of a weight-average molecular weight (Mw) of a number average molecular weight (Mn) of less than 5.0 is formed in a thin layer on a toner carrying member. The layer of toner is carried to a developing zone at which an image bearing member is disposed to face the toner carrying member with a clearance larger than the toner layer thickness and an electrostatic image on the image bearing member is developed with the thin layer of toner. The toner binder resin preferably comprises a copolymer of a vinyl monomer and an amonoacrylic monomer.
